Rosie and I headed up to Wiscasset for a few days of hard work at Mom and Dad's new house. Between painting, bathroom renovations and decorating, M/D and I took a short drive to the lovely town of Damariscotta to check out the remnants of their famous
PumpkinFest.

Here's DickieJ in his new woodshop! He's as happy as a clam, only about 1/4 unpacked and set-up, and quite possibly never coming upstairs again. Mom calls Dad's workspace her "vacation home."

Here's Rosie at her perch in the guest apartment looking at the harbour. The good news is that she can't hear all of the power tools whirring one floor below her because the woodshop is sound-proofed!

Here's part of what Rosie sees -- amazing foliage and lots of birds!

And this is part of what we see from the kitchen table -- Wiscasset is a beautiful place, and the sightseeing train trundling through a few times a day is a huge bonus for railophiles (?) like me!

Lots of work has already been done at the house (more on that later) and there's no shortage of items yet to be crossed off the to-do list! We can't wait to get back up and see what's changed!
