In the process of emptying Mo's camera from last night, I found these shots that we took in Portland (Oregon, not Maine). We took an afternoon and drove along the Historic Columbia River Highway up to the Columbia River Gorge. And even on a foggy day (are there any other kind out there?) it was breathtaking.
We arrived at the lodge at Multnomah Falls and fell in love with the charm of the building, built in 1924.
Next visit, we're definitely making time to return to the Gorge for some serious hikes, followed by a seat in the lodge next to the fire with a hot bowl of soup.
