The usual crew hit up the Revolution's home opener at Gillette. As it was Matt's birthday, some treats for him were in order. Not pictured is the "Happy Birthday" bowler hat (that he sported for the majortiy of the game), the megaphone on a string of beads, or the assortment of chuck-at-the-opposition's-goalie-streamers. Pictured is the "Kiss me, it's my birthday!" pin that he wore proudly (and apparently unsuccessfully) all afternoon and THE mask. Matt has a love/hate relationship with first year Revs coach Jay Heaps, so naturally I made him a life-sized Jay Heaps mask. It became a bit of a mascot for the day. He loved it. And as of right now, loves Jay Heaps. So do we -- Revs win!
Our neighbors Marcia and Dan remain friendly with the couple that originally restored our home back in the early '80s. Last week they graciously arranged for us to meet them over dinner here at the house. We so enjoyed touring our rooms with them, hearing what had been here, and what and why they chose to keep and elected to change. We LOVED going through their photo album, with every piece of the restoration captured in film, and with careful notations and captions. We were fascinated by how the place looked not so long ago:
Young Professionals. Awesome. Can't wrap my brain around the pricing!
