June (2011)!

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School met arch-nemesis St. John's Prep in the quarter-finals of the MIAA State Lacrosse Tournament this year. Let's not get into results, but rather focus on the fun we had at a great game. Lots of friends made their way to Danvers to cheer on the Warriors. Here's DickieJ and Mr. Fletcher -- all smiles because he was the champion of the famous Jason Family College Hockey Tournament Pool. We'll see how happy he looks next year.

While we were in Danvers, Mo was in Fort Lauderdale at a Financial Services conference. It was three days long, with a keynote speaker each day. He thought the former President of the United States was interesting, found the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom to be engaging and informative, but really, the highlight of the whole trip for him was Friday's speaker:

And if he had not rushed, like (the old, fun, non-murderous) OJ Simpson through the airport to catch his flight back to Boston, he would have been on the same flight as The Coach. Alack and alas, but who cares, really. Because when he got out of his taxi from Logan, there at Mr. Dooley's was the whole crew with our old, OLD friend Conor. And Conor's hair. (Don't touch it.)

Conor (and Mike, well, and Mo too) were feeling more than a little logy the next morning. And Conor had an overnight flight back home to Ireland. What to do? What could we find as a surefire logy-cure? Greg's! (Hi Suzy!)

Speaking of logy, here's LB. My friend Derek and his friend Steve somehow ended up hanging with The Man in The Coat after one of the Bruins playoff games.

And since we're speaking of Bruins playoff games, here's the man who led us to the glorious Lord Stanley Cup. (Also known in some circles as Handsome Ralph!)

My Uncle Brendan. He's standing in the Bruins locker room in Vancouver after the victorious game seven. Celebrating the Stanley Cup with the team, coaches, my cousin Brendan Junior, and an ice cold Commemorative Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Bud Light Aluminum bottle. Awesome.

Mo's doctor gave him the "all-clear" for hiking, so we took a day towards the end of the month and hiked at Mount Wachusett. Any ideas why this trail is called "Balance Rock?"

We enjoyed our packed lunch on some sweet outdoor furniture.

It was my first hike at a ski area, and it was really cool. Nice view from up there, too!

Meanwhile, as Mo and I were cavorting on the trails, Dad and TimmyJ were very busy answering Mom's prayers and ripping down the balcony from the front of the Harbor House. It looks like a whole different place without it. (Photos to come...) Well done, gentlemen!
