Labor Day Weekend

When we arrived in Wiscasset for the Labor Day weekend, the front of the house looked as if there never was a porch/balcony there... Great work by Dickie (and Timmy)!

We enjoyed a few hours at the Morse Mountain Reservation, where a lovely granite bench has been added to what I always imagined was a Fairy colony...

The payoff at the end of the 2+ mile hike is a stunning sand beach, accessible by foot only.
The view from the top of the Mountain itself is gorgeous -- ocean on one side...

Salt Marsh and Salt Ponds on the other.

We staked out our territory by Fort Popham for next year's sail-away of the USS Michael Murphy from the Bath Iron Works, down the Kennebec River and out to the Atlantic Ocean to work.

For the first time, I'm doing two fantasy football leagues. It's really rather confusing. Here's a couple of my worthy adversaries from the original Cape Cod league. Preparing themselves for their annual Title IX whooping at a great old pub in historic Hallowell. Justin is the Lacrosse coach at Colby (NESCAC!), which is under a half an hour away. Perfect for an evening meet-up!

Timmy had to leave on Sunday afternoon to move into his new pad in the midst of the woods in Lincoln, MA. Sunday night, Mom, Dad, Mo and I decided to enjoy a beautiful picnic dinner on Boothbay Harbor. The sunset was stunning, the Windjammers were returning to harbor from a day out on the ocean and the Ospreys put on a fishing display right in front of us that we will never forget. Awesome night. Awesome weekend.
