Tracey (like me, raised Catholic but not particularly observant) and Matt (like Mo, raised Jewish but not particularly observant) are old rugby friends. Tracey would like their three kids to have familiarity with some form of Jewish tradition, so she and I decided (no consultation, since we knew the boys would say no) that we would have a Hanukkah dinner. We thought Joe and Nicole and their kids would enjoy it, especially since Joe had a summer job as a counselor at a Jewish summer camp. (We discovered that he can remember prayers better than Matt!) We did Gingerbread Houses for the kids, and yummy food for the adults. Lots and lots (and lots) of pictures, so I'll separate them into three categories: Flounce, Food, and Fun. It was an awesome night.

Dinner!
Dinner (post-Crackers)!
Chase: "My crown! My crown! Mummy I want my crown! CROWN! CROWN! CROWN!"
Jack awaiting his Cracker prize musical instrument. (Hand held drums! You're welcome Joe and Nicole!)
Liam got a horn, and then led all 5 kids in a musical instrument parade through the first-floor circle about 25 times. They had a blast.
Until Chase fell and popped his little noggin. Poor little sweet-pea.
Ella and Jack upstairs having a PAJAMA PARTY! (No jumping on the bed.) (Yeah, right!)
And poor Alex had about all he could take and was sound asleep even with all that was going on around him. Good times.
