December (2010)!

In solidarity with our friends that were freezing their tails off tailgating in Foxboro for the big Monday Night Football matchup against the Jets, we tailgated here in our driveway. OK, we TRIED to tailgate here in our driveway, but only could for 20 minutes because it was SO FLIPPING COLD. And we even had a fire. And a tent. And blankets, a good sized grill and shelter within steps. And we still couldn't do it. FREEZING.
My year at the holidays means only one thing -- TARTAN!
We mixed up the tree placement this year, and Rosie didn't seem to care one little iota.

Here's a few of my very favorite presents from 2010:

My Mom tracked down my high school varsity hockey jacket from 1987. See? It says STATS. That's how I roll. Stats geek (still am). This jacket made me absolutely giddy. STATS!
I've been hinting, then begging, and finally pleading for an RMJ carved whale, and this was the year that he arrived. The size is beyond perfect, the teeth are unreal and the workmanship is (as usual) unparalleled. We don't love him, we LURVE him.
Our former neighbors at 15 gave us the coolest in-season doormat ever. Being the snowiest winter (potentially) EVER, this has solved our inadvertent indoor swimming pool in the dining area problem. Rosie totally digs it, but not more than we do.
