This is Parker. He's Mom and Dad's cat. He's absolutely gorgeous. He's also very uncomfortable in new environments. He's staying with here at 16 for a few weeks or so while M/D house-sit for us when we're away, and as they're doing a bunch of traveling themselves. We're doing our best to acclimate him to Rosie, and vice versa. Here he is in his "safe room" where he hid under the bed for the first few days, until we gave him the drug known as canned food.
After a week in his room, we opened up the whole upstairs to him and I found him here one afternoon. Progress!

I bring him downstairs every day and let him get used to the house while Rosie's outside. He sniffed every surface on the entire first floor before deciding where to plop himself. The swan must make him feel like he's at home with his best pal DickieJ.
We made leaps and bounds today -- no hissing, no growling, no pouting. The only thing I heard when I took this shot was Mo snoring! It's definitely baby steps, but since he'll be here until the middle of October, we've got the time to do it right!
