Training Camp 2009

Timmy, Justin and I met in Foxboro on (what was then) the hottest day of the summer to watch our boys work it out at Training Camp. Tommy looked in great form.
As did Wes. And his arms. Which I think he's inspecting?
Perhaps he was looking to ensure that he had enough strength to sign autographs forEVER after practice. (He did.)
I declared this young man my training camp binky. So naturally, we haven't seen him since. Word is he's dinged up. Get well soon, Edelman!
Timmy and Justin loved the irony of this edict.
After the morning session ended, we toured the blissfully over-air conditioned Hall at Patriots Place. There was a ton of cool stuff on display -- something from every era, good or bad. This is arguably the third most important artifact in the Hall:

And I would argue that this is the first. (Bill Parcell's fax detailing the terms of the Jets approval of Bill Belichick's coaching availability being the second. I refrained from putting the video of the Mo Lewis hit on this list. I still love Drew.)
It was very moving to see that one of the Andruzzi brothers had donated the gear that they proudly wore on the field at Foxboro after September 11.
TimmyJ is testing his vertical leap against Laurence Maroney's. He's allllmost there.
Justin, clearly working out some resentment issues from our fantasy football battles last season.
We ended the day at the CBS Scene -- a cool "themey" restaurant at Patriots Place. At the low, low price of $0, training camp remains one of the best bargains around. Big thumbs up to The Hall -- outstanding design and execution. That's the Patriots Way.
